This is the Fun Stuff!!!

I want to thank our Club Administrator, Christie Harrison (aka our 'Social Guru'), along with all of you that participated in the Passport Social.  Mid-Town Sacramento's Zocolo’s Restaurant made a great environment for getting together with our fellow club members and guests for a bit of Rotary friendship and fun.  Even better, a few of those guests are now wanting to join our club!    If you missed out on this social mixer, never fear.  Check out our Calendar of Events for future socials, meetings and community service opportunities.  You won’t want to miss out on all the fun (or hours towards your community service)!

On another note...yesterday, in my travels around town for work, there I was, sitting at an intersection waiting for the traffic light to change.  All of a sudden, crossing the intersection in front of me was a brand new Ford van full of children.  What caught my eye was the big Rotary sign plastered all over the side of it.  This was the van that was donated through Rotary Grants and a couple of our local Rotary Clubs earlier this year.  I thought how cool it is to see Rotary at work in the community.  It was especially exciting for me as I knew that I was a small part of acquiring that van for those children.  You just never know how the things we do in Rotary can benefit people we've never met.
